Flowing Beauty

Another Monday...sigh! Lol. I hope you all had a great one! Mine was really busy, yet very productive. As soon as I woke up this morning, I realized I had a short time to get ready and head out the door. I already planned in my mind to go with all black; that's always the best fix for me. However I ultimately went with with my newest thrifted beauty, a forest green (Lane Bryant) skirt. I hate that it doesn't picture as well as I'd like. It seems as if the skirt is blue-ish AND its so wrinkled in the photos (ugh!) but, what can you do?! I've been wanting a long, flowy skirt for a while now and when I found this one, I was beyond thrilled! I can see styling this skirt during the Spring/Summer months being SO much fun...can't wait to show you all what I come up with ;-)

Enjoy the pics and talk with you all soon! Great stuff coming up on the blog soon so stay posted and stay on the look out via my Facebook page :-)

Life isn't a Sprint...

Good morning and thank goodness its almost the weekend! I hope you all are having a productive and blessed week so far. As previously mentioned, mine has been quite busy but great nonetheless.

I've had a lot on my mind lately  and found myself extremely emotional and overwhelmed last night. You ever feel that sometimes everything just builds up, and you just want to burst? Well, I sure did...burst into tears. It's strange because I am a very happy person and I am extremely blessed. However, life sometimes has a way of knocking the winds out of you. At times like that, you just need to let it out (cry, scream, whatever), regroup, and pray. Life isn't a sprint...I keep reminding myself that. It's a marathon and it matters not how quick you get to your destination. It's the path in which you take to get there. I am so blessed to have the support system that I do. We all need reassurance at times...

I didn't meant to make this a long drawn out post but, I did feel the need to share that with you all. I like to be honest and open with you all. It's venting for me and who knows; maybe my story can help someone. You never know. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your day, and enjoy the outfit pics. Be blessed, stay strong, and don't forget to smile ;-)

White & Denim

Hey friends!

Here is yet another short and simple post. I have been really busy these past few days with getting ready for vacations, helping my mother prepare my little sister for her upcoming pageant, and making some personal plans. So with all that going on, I haven't posted in a few days. But here I am, back with an outfit that I hope you all like. It was a very simple and easy outfit so enjoy and I will talk to you all soon! Be blessed!

Denim, Part II

Hey everybody! Was yesterday's weather not amazing?! It was the perfect temperature for me; not too hot, not too cold.

So, my outfit choice ended up being denim on denim. I have worn this trend before (seen here) and I absolutely love it! The sandals, accessories and purse were a perfect touch for this casual outfit.

Have a great Friday everyone & be blessed!

Latley, Part I....

HELLO!!! I hope you all have been blessed & well. I have been doing a lot these past few days but, its good to be back to posting my finds & fashions.

This weekend was busy, as usual, for me. I was able to hang with old & new friends, as well as enjoy Algebra & Anthony David perform. It was AMAZING and such a GREAT show. I love intimate settings and being at Park (in DC) was just that; small & intimate. Being there with my girls reminded me yet again that good friends are so important to have in life.

As far as my outfit goes, I decided to wear cute dress & some VERY comfortable heels. I am not one to wear heels if I know I will be standing a long time, but when I say these shoes are comfy, I MEAN IT. And the fact that they were $19.99 at Burlington was the icing on the cake! They also matched the bronze color of my zipper perfectly. I was overall very pleased with the look. However I forgot my camera that night, lol, so I had to take the pictures a few days later. So, the outfit will be shown from the neck down. My hair dresser appointment cannot come fast enough, LOL. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy the pics.

Then on Sunday afternoon, I attended my cousins baby shower. I am SO very happy for them and so excited to meet my baby cousin, Ethan James. Of course because I was with my family, I had the best time. I was able to catch up with my father's side and just enjoy good food & great company.

The outfit for Sunday was much more laid back and casual. The jeans were only $15.00 last season at the Lane Bryant outlet in PA, but they were way to long. Thank to my good 'ol tailor, I had them hemmed and now they are considered a "favorite" pair :-)

Enjoy all the pictures and I will talk to you soon!
