Quick Look

Hey everybody! Hope all is well.

It has been such a struggle for me to take pictures of my outfits these past few days. I have been literally in the groove of my new job, which I love, AND when I get home I am just ready to get into my leggins and tee-shirt and crawl into bed. But, I have had a chance to take a few pics of some of my recent purchases. I went to Tysons Corner (VA) Saturday with my mom and little sis. Although I didn't buy too much, I still had a ball!

We happened to stop at this great accessories store called, Amuse and I literally could have gone CRAZY in there. They had thee cutest items and the most unique pieces. Everything from Masquerade Ball masks, to jewlery boxes, to accessories....to luggage! I have really been in to watching DIY Youtube videos lately and I was inspired to get some nail art supplies. I was elated to find that Amuse had nail polish and supplies there as well. So, I got some "nail art" which is the paint and thin brush they use in the shop to do nail designs. I plan to give it a try one evening this week and post my results. I get in creative modes from time to time and this happens to be one of those time. I hope my "DIY beauty mode" lasts for a bit, LOL.

I also purcased my first pair of Toms. I have seen SO many people wear them and I just couldnt get myself to try a pair. But while in Nordstrom, a pair caught my eye and once I tried them on it was love! They are the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. They have a rubber sole, they are a Nordstrom Exclusive (see HERE), and they are a charitable shoe. So, I felt that it was a good purchase for more reasons than one.

Well, I hope you all had a great night/evening. I plan to do a week in pictures with my weekly outfits by the end of this week. Also, I am almost at 100 followers and plan to host my 2nd giveaway. But for now, enjoy the pics and talk to you soon. Be blessed!

Shiny & New

TIGF!!! I hope you all have had a great week.

I am SO looking forward to the upcoming weeks. I have about 9 days left at my current job, then its off to start  a new experience. Needless to say,  I am so ecstatic! This transition is more of a career than a "job", which is why I am so excited. It's everything that I have studied and  interned for so I am so ready to show my skills ;-)

With this new career, I am also excited because I will be able to explore another side of myself in a styling sense, if that makes sense. I will able to wear pieces that I've wanted to wear but had no place (in my mind) to wear. All in all, this change is a very good thing.
With that being said, I have been in the process of revamping my wardrobe/closet (as I mentioned in my last post). I went to TJMaxx and Marshall's within the last two weeks and purchased some great items that can be both office and after office attire. But the one item that I just fell in love with was a sequin skirt (also seen here). I am not one to pick out sparkly and shiny items, but this was a must have. I am beginning to understand, thru this blog, that you can mix an match so many pieces to make your perfect outfit. And that is exactly what I plan to do with this skirt. I have an idea of when I am going to wear it, but you never know. I may wear it sooner ;-)

Below, I wanted to show you all the skirt I purchased, as well as other looks with the similar skirt. I am using them as inspirations as I decide on how to wear it.

Thanks for the continues support and talk to you all soon!

Blessings,

~Nic
