Weekend Fun!!

HELLO everyone!!! I am so glad to be blogging again. It seems like my page has been thru some stuff these last few days. I wil spare you the details, lol...but I do want to thank The Fashionista Next Door. She responded to my blog questions so quickly and I really appreciate it! Its hard sometimes navigating thru the blog world without knowing all the in's and outs. I am learning as I'm going and so far, so good!

Now I can share my weekend with you. Last Sunday, my dear friend Jessica and I attended The Curvy CEO's clothing swap in Bethesda, MD. It was our first swap and can you say I CLEANED UP!??!! I walked out with a trash bag full of goodies, and I won a prize! Most of the clothes are in the cleaners so I will post them a bit later. However, I am posting my new shoes I swapped.

Last weekend, my fiance' and I got our bedroom set, thanks to my Grandma :-) Its SOOO nice and all the pieces were a GREAT price. If you are in need of furniture and are in the MD area, Overstock Furniture is the way to go! Check there before anywhere else.

As far as my outfits, well its funny. I wore my fiance's sweater (2nd Avenue) on Sunday, and then turned around and wore it on Monday to go furniture shopping, LOL! It's super comfy and the thrifted jacket I wore with it really completed the look. I got the printed jacket from 2nd Avenue. SO pleased with the purchase!

So yea, that's about it! I really enjoyed meeting & talking with the group on Sunday. All down to earth and fab! Enjoy the post and talk to you soon. I have another fun weekend coming up :-) Be blessed!

Casual & Comfy

Happy 'Hump Day'! I hope you've all had a great week thus far. Mine has been pretty good; no complaints. Aside from working, I have been spending a lot of time preparing for my engagement party which is coming up in a few weeks. I've also had my first "official" meetings with a few wedding people and I am just SOO excited about the ideas and whatnot. I will be doing a post soon about showing a few of my wedding ideas so far. I did one (HERE) a while ago but now, my ideas are more focused; what a relief!

As far as my outfit in this post, I wore this yesterday after work to shop and hang out with my cousin, his friend and my fiance'. We went to see some tuxedos and suit options for the wedding, and then I branched off and went to the Ulta Beauty store so spend some of my gift card money :-) The outfit was laid back and for once, I was able to wear my Love, Cortnie bag and my new earrings from EBay. I was watching an episode of Love & Hip-Hop and I saw Chrissy wearing a pair of gorgeous leaf earrings (photo below). So I went on a mission to find some similar. When I saw these, I knew I had to grab them. They are light wight, and I love the copper/bronze tone they have. Mission accomplished ;-)

New Beginnings & Lovely Weather...

What a lovely day in MD!! The temps were like 67 and I was lovin' it!! I hope everyone had a good day.

This is my first day OFF on a Monday night in I don't know how long. I start my new gig in a week so I am taking this week to get prepared for my career move ;-) I will also be working hard this week packing up my fiance's apartment. He is moving about 5 mins from where I am now and we will eventually be living there together, once married (Dec. 2012). I am SO excited and ready for all of these changes in my life. I am just feeling blessed & ready to cease these opportunities.

My Closet...This Season

Good afternoon! Hope all is well. As I'm sure you can tell, most of my posts have been centered around Fall. To keep with that theme, I wanted to do this post on some of the items I will be wearing this season. Although I love summer, Fall is the ultimate season for me because I can throw on a scarf, a cute pair of boots and hit the town ;-) I also live in leggings during this time. I'm a sucker for an over sized sweater, leggings and flats. Cute and comfy is the name of my game, lol.
