The Beginning of Summer...

Hey there!!! How was your weekend??? Mine was rather busy, but what's new right?? LOL! I spent most of Friday working and preparing for my my little sisters Princess Party that we hosted at the house. She had all of her friends/Princesses over as a celebratory event. They will be going to Orlando, FL to compete the week of July 4th and needless to say, they are super excited!!!

Saturday, the fiance' and I spent the Day in Delaware shopping---market, thrifting, and the mall. I must say my babe know me very well because I found some amazing items at this outdoor/indoor flea market called, Spence's Bizzare. I always love to find unique treasures and vintage pieces at flea markets and thrift shops. When I got to the mall, I was more on a mission to find certain items (i.e. maxi dress, skinny jeans, running shoes, and a LBD). I was successful, and then some!!! LOL I found what is easily the most comfortable dress I own, which has to be my favorite purchase. I actually wore it today during my Ladies Brunch. It's SUPER colorful and the fit is perfect! (pics below)

Today, my girls and I met at Rusty Scupper in downtown Baltimore. I planned the gathering because it's been awhile since I've been around all of my girls at once. I promised myself that before the wedding, I would plan events here and there just so we can all hang out continue to build on our great relationships. I have such a diverse and interesting group of friends and when we all get together, its thee best time! I am truly blessed and thankful :-)

Enjoy the pics and I hope you all have a GREAT Monday! Make sure you check back tomorrow for a special guest feature!! If you have natural hair or are thinking of going natural, you will LOVE what's coming!!!

Be blessed!

While it was one of the greatest experiences, I was so nervous to be away from my family. I was in the 10th grade and my family was so happy and proud of me. Before I left, my mom gave me the letter and told me to open it when my first night. She is the best and always knows exactly what to say to get me through any and every situation.

Black & White at Work....Part Deux

I did it again! ;-) I wore another black and white combo to work this Friday! I absolutely despise wearing heavy coats, although I have a ton of very pretty/cute ones. So I always opt for a nice, warm, wrap. This black and white checkered one happens to belong to my mother. I always borrow her items; she has the best selection when it comes to accessories, blazers and outerwear. Somethings Ii can't wear but the things I can, I sure do wear!

I decided to try out a cute hair clip in my hair. My mother has been telling me to try them for the longest but, I always feared it was too juvenile. Well, I am glad I listened (mother's know best). I loved it as soon as I put it in! The clip also reminded me of Tanya, over at Major Must Haves (also seen, HERE). Not only does she have a lovely sense of style, but her hair always looks flawless. And sometimes, she wears the best hair accessories. So, she too was an inspiration for me to try it out.

Well, I hope you all have a great weekend, and I look forward to getting some more entries for my Valentines Giveaway!! If you haven't already, enter HERE. Good luck & Talk to you all soon! xo...

Windy Mess & Something Different

Hey followers! Let me just say that today was SOOO windy. I was trying to take pics outside and the wind was literally making me angry. LOL. You ever try to get that "wind in you hair" pic? Well, I tried and failed! There went my idea for a bunch of outdoor photos. I did manage to get one good one, but finished the rest inside.

Although I have posted this outfit on my page before, (outfit seen HERE) I wanted to do something different and try out my new heels. I usually grab flats because they're without a doubt more comfy to me than heels. But, I wanted to jazz it up a bit so, heels it was. I really love these new shoes. They're VERY comfy and just adorable for this season. I also carried another Love, Cortnie original. I just LOVE the pattern of this clutch.

Enjoy the pics and have a great holiday weekend! Save some turkey for me ;-)

New Beginnings & Lovely Weather...

What a lovely day in MD!! The temps were like 67 and I was lovin' it!! I hope everyone had a good day.

This is my first day OFF on a Monday night in I don't know how long. I start my new gig in a week so I am taking this week to get prepared for my career move ;-) I will also be working hard this week packing up my fiance's apartment. He is moving about 5 mins from where I am now and we will eventually be living there together, once married (Dec. 2012). I am SO excited and ready for all of these changes in my life. I am just feeling blessed & ready to cease these opportunities.

Enjoy the outfit post, and special shout out to Cortnie from StyleLust pages. I am rocking the Ashleigh clutch today. I have gotten so many compliments while wearing this clutch too! Thanks again Cortnie (xoxo)!

P.S. Photos taken form my phone; bare with my while I get my camera situation fixed ;-)

Happy hump day!

My days have been super busy lately but, I did want to share a few outfits and goodies with you. As far as my outfits, I have been doing the simplest thing lately. Throwing on a pair of leggings and a tee, a sweater and dressing it up with some accessories. The weather has been so unpredictable here in MD so, my outfit options are the same, lol.

On the heels of my recent engagement, my fiance and I are celebrating out 2 year anniversary today :-) Here is just a quick post of the outfit I wore to lunch today to celebrate. We also ran some errands together as well. Waking up late threw me off a bit so, I decided to go all black. You can never go wrong with that ;-)

I really love the accessories I wore today as well. So, enjoy and have a blessed day. Talk to you all soon.
