The Weekend & A Big Fat Challenge

Hello everyone!! A Happy Belated Father's Day to all the father's out there. Before I go onto post, I must say that my father is the best that I know. He is always supportive, always loving, always patient, and can always make me laugh---no mater what! I love him so much and I am so blessed to have him in my life...❤❤❤

Now onto today's post....I had one busy weekend and to be quite honest, I am super exhausted. I have a lot going on, personal and work-wise, as well as few events and trips coming up. While I am thankful for these upcoming opportunities, I don't feel that I can go into as much detail on my upcoming posts as much  I'd like. I am a writer and I LOVE to go into detail about my days, weekends, outfits, etc. But sometimes life takes over and you have to step back and prioritize. Therefore, the next few weeks of posting will be more pictures than words and hopefully, more guest features. I'm also in the process of working on 2 upcoming guest features for 2 wonderful blogs; I will be sure to post the link(s). 

In the meantime, the outfit below is what I wore Saturday to run errands and hang with my babe. The sweater is beyond comfortable...I LOVE IT!! To finish the outfit, I piled on the accessories and called it a day ;-) Enjoy the pics/outfit and I will talk to you all soon. As always, thank you for your support...it is MUCH APPRECIATED!!

Toady's post is an outfit that I absolutely love! Wait, haven't I said that in my last few posts??? LOL Anyway, as I've said before, I'm beginning to embrace color more and more and I am truly happy about that. This dress is SO colorful and pretty and the added neon cardigan gives it that extra pop! I actually plan to wear this outfit tomorrow for a business breakfast but, decided to post the pics a day early. I have an extremely busy weekend coming up and I won't be able to post that much. I knew I wanted to share the outfit though so I said hey, posting my outfit of the day a day early won't hurt.

I am also including Facebook Friday in this post as well so this post is a bit picture heavy (forgive me), LOL.  Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy all the pics. Have a wonderful day and a great weekend!

Thrifted Beauty

Hello out there ;-) Hope you're having a happy Tuesday thus far. I must start by giving a HUGE thanks for all the comments and love on my Facebook page. I really appreciate it and I LOVE connecting with you all so I hope you continue to hear/see you all via-FBK.

Today's outfit is one I like to call a treasure! I was in the thrift store awhile back with my babe and I was on my way to the cashier when I saw this colorful frock peaking from the rack. The sizes on the rack read "S-M" but something told me to go look at the garment anyway. When I did, I was in LOVE!! the dress was soo colorful and pretty. Plus, it was my size; I guess someone misplaced it and put the "XL" in the wrong section. AND, the price tag was.....$9.90 with 1/2 off (because it was on a Monday). #WINNING I bought the dress when it was sold outside so I wore it a few times with tights, a blazer and boots/flats but I couldn't WAIT to wear it when the weather warmed up. On this particular day, I wore it with my hand-me-down sandals (thanks, Mommy!) and some of my favorite pieces of jewelry. My thrifted clutch (also seen, HERE) was the perfect ending. 

While being photographed, I was jammin' to my play list and I think Fantasia was playing. I included the video as well...enjoy ;-) Do you have an item in your closet that has a "story" or that you just LOVE to pieces??? Love when that happens ;-) Take care and be blessed! Happy Sunday!! I've had a busy and fun weekend, but I did want to share a quick outfit post with you. Today, I went to church (as I do every Sunday) and had a great time. The sermon was right on point, and I felt as if the Pastor was speaking directly to me. I truly feel blessed and ready to start the week with a great attitude! Enjoy the outfit and have a wonderful rest of the evening and a productive week! XXOO...

More Color!

Hey everybody!! So I decided to shake it up a bit. After being featured as the Fashion Bombshell of the Day, (see post HERE) I started thinking about some of the comments. You know how we say, "I don't care what people say or think about me". Well, in a way I don't and in a way I do. I like to get feedback and constructive criticism, just not ignorant and hurtful comments. All that to say, I took a few of the comments to heart and really thought about how I can incorporate more color into my wardrobe. As well as, how to show off my best assets in a tasteful way. 

So I've had this thrifted skirt for a loooong time and I've NEVER worn it. I posted about it HERE ages ago. I went form being able to fit it, to not being able to fit it and now, it fits again! Which means all this working out and changed eating habits is working after all ;-) I added a colorful/floral sweater with it, and topped it off with my new nude pumps. The shoes are like a dream...they feel SO good. I received a lot of compliments on the outfit and the fiance' was LOVING this skirt. So I guess you can say I am in the process of beginning to embrace more color, as well as embracing my curves. I absolutely LOVE the outfit and I plan to wear it to church sometime soon. It's such a transitional outfit---work, date night, church, etc.

Bare Legs

Hello there!! Before I go any further, I want to thank my new followers and say HELLO!!! I am so happy and pleased that you've decided to follow little 'ol me. XXOO!!!

As I type this post, I can't help but smile and think about how wonderful the weather was today. It was so nice, I decided to wear my little legs out!! This is how I know it is officially Spring...well, in my mind anyway, LOL. Scanning my closet this morning, I picked out the Old Navy dress. It was perfect; the material is so light and the length is work appropriate. I paired it with my favorite black and gold studded flats, and some vintage/thrifted jewelery. When I went out later, I added a pop of red and wore my red pumps. Simple, and classic!

Seeing Purple

Hey there! So according to the title, I guess you can say  I've gone crazy for purple lately. I've never really 'liked' the color but interestingly enough, I've been wearing it a lot lately without even realizing. Isn't it funny how that happens?? Well, I must say I am a purple believer! I think I've found yet another color that I will be wearing this Spring. Also as a Ravens fan, it's only right that I rock my hometown color ;-)
