Facebook Friday: Hilary & Kerry

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!! I am so happy to see this day come---I have had one hack of a week! I hope you all have had a great week :-)

This week, I focused on Hilary Duff & Kerry Washington for FBF (click on pics for the original links). I love Hilary's look because it is so simple and basic, yet chic at the same time. I did a 2 part look with her pic as an inspiration because I can see me wearing this look A LOT this summer. I am a huge fan of skinny jeans, over-sized tops, and (comfy/sensible) heels. I intend to recreate both of her inspired looks ASAP!

Then we have Kerry...she is the epitome of class (in my opinion). She rocked this leather skirt and I love her top. To recreate her look, I though of something funky and different. So, I decided to pick leather shorts instead of the skirt. I love the look and I can see a lot of my blogger friends possible wearing an outfit like this.

From Work to Date Nite

Hey there! Hope everyone is having a productive week :-)  Mine is going well thus far. Although the sun didn't come out as I'd hoped today, it was still a pretty day. I cannot believe that its the 2nd day of Spring already!! my does time fly. Before I get into my outfit post, I just want to thank you to everyone who commented on my latest post; your comments made me smile and I am forever appreciative.

Below are pics of my what I wore to the office yesterday. When I found out that me and the fiance were going to go out that night for a casual night out, I threw my favorite jeans in my bag and changed into them when I got off. I've always LOVED this top; it fits me very well, and the collar is the perfect neckline for me. The shoes I'm wearing are a recent gift from my Mommy. They are the perfect shoe for the workplace and the wedge makes them extra comfy! I honestly feel that I can wear them all day. Do you have a pair of shoes that you can basically live in??

Hey friends!! Hope everyone is well. Sorry in advance for the pics, once again; I am hoping Santa brings me a battery for my Nikon D70 for Christmas ;-) In the mean time I am using my backup camera, my older Nikon Coolpix. Pics aren't coming off how I want but, I must keep posting!! LOL.

Anyway, this is just an outfit I put on last night when the babe and I hung out. The shirt was my grandfathers :-) As I have said before, I always LOVE wearing his clothes. I feel so close to him when I do. The brown cape I purchased in Greece is one of my favorite purchases .It can also be seen HERE. Lastly, I wore layered necklaces from F21. Funny because in my Santa Baby post, I posted a Love necklace that I wanted. I found this silver one hiding in my jewelery box last night; how awesome!! I already had one and didn't even know ;-)

Hand-me-Downs & Repairs

So let me just say that I am TERRIBLE at picking up clothes from the cleaners. However, I put these jeans in the cleaners a few days ago and picked them up on time. Why? Well, these jeans are my favorite jeans and they were torn during my trip back in November. I was still able to wear them, but eventually the rip got bigger and bigger. Usually I give up on jeans after awhile but these being my favorite, I had to have them patched up. So i am very happy to have worn them today for the first time n a while :-)

The top was my Mommy's. Sometimes she does a closet clean and puts a pile of things on the bed. I get to go thru it before she gives them away and when I saw this top, I had to grab it. I knew I didn't have enough up to to fill it up, lol, but I knew I would be able to rock it. So, there there you have it. My outfit today was a mixture of hand-me-downs and repairs ;-)

Patiently Waiting...

I was going thru my closet recently and realized that I needed some new pants/jeans/bottoms. So I decided to order the 2 pair below and I cannot wait until I receive the package. I've been dying for a new pair of light jeans, and a pair of Jersey material pants. Thanks to Asos, I found them!! And, they were both on sale....SCOREEE, LOL!!

I ordered my usual size and had to return them because they were too big. It was a pleasant surprise, but a pain to return and now wait until the right size comes. Ugh! Hurry please!! LOL.
