My Weekend in Pictures

Happy Tuesday!!! I hope you all had a relaxing and chill Memorial Day weekend. I honestly can't say I did a lot, LOL. My mission was to CHILL and I did just that! I spent most of the weekend with my family and my fiance' and we lounged around, watched DVD's, played some games, and at good food ;-)

Hello out there ;-) Hope you're having a happy Tuesday thus far. I must start by giving a HUGE thanks for all the comments and love on my Facebook page. I really appreciate it and I LOVE connecting with you all so I hope you continue to hear/see you all via-FBK.

Today's outfit is one I like to call a treasure! I was in the thrift store awhile back with my babe and I was on my way to the cashier when I saw this colorful frock peaking from the rack. The sizes on the rack read "S-M" but something told me to go look at the garment anyway. When I did, I was in LOVE!! the dress was soo colorful and pretty. Plus, it was my size; I guess someone misplaced it and put the "XL" in the wrong section. AND, the price tag was.....$9.90 with 1/2 off (because it was on a Monday). #WINNING I bought the dress when it was sold outside so I wore it a few times with tights, a blazer and boots/flats but I couldn't WAIT to wear it when the weather warmed up. On this particular day, I wore it with my hand-me-down sandals (thanks, Mommy!) and some of my favorite pieces of jewelry. My thrifted clutch (also seen, HERE) was the perfect ending. 

While being photographed, I was jammin' to my play list and I think Fantasia was playing. I included the video as well...enjoy ;-) Do you have an item in your closet that has a "story" or that you just LOVE to pieces??? Love when that happens ;-) Take care and be blessed! I live in Howard County, Maryland and the city of Columbia. It's a very quiet, family oriented county and I absolutely love it. It's a great place to raise a family, and was voted as the 2nd among Money Magazine's 2010 survey of "America's Best Places to Live". Howard County's schools also frequently rank first in Maryland as measured by standardized test scores and graduation rates.

Day 13: My Favorite Artist & Why?

It's so tough to pick just one but, I have to go with Badu. I have seen her in concert...about 5 times. She is a true performer and is a wonderful dancer. I relate to so many of her songs, and her performances are real---I feel her every time. I took my mother to see her one Mother's Day and we had 5th row seats; can you say AMAZING!! My fav song by her is above as well. Enjoy ;-)

I am honestly NOT an animal person but I do love fish. And why, I don't know, but I have been wanting a little puppy for quiet sometime. I just know I do not have the time to take proper care of a pet. Maybe when Darrius and I get married---we'll see ;-)

Day 7: My Dream Wedding

How ironic?!! Well, seeing as how I am planning my "dream wedding" as we speak, I have always wanted my wedding to be 3 things: fun, classic and simple. Hopefully the wedding board below will express some of my (latest) ideas. Nothing is set in stone, but this board is much more focused and much more accurate than my last wedding post. Enjoy!

Well, since the Ravens lost today, I am not in the best mood, lol. BUT, I have a busy and eventful week/weekend coming up so I can't help but think of a better song than the one below to play for you other than Goapele's, Closer. Well needless to say it is raining cats and dogs here in MD. I was going to snap some pics of my outfit but yea; that rain had me in the house and in some sweats quick, fast and in a hurry!! However, I still wanted to share with you all some of my favorite things at the moment. i am thinking about making this a weekly or monthly post. I have so much I want to share, sometimes I am just consumed with "real life" and I can't post as much as I would like. That's why I have my Facebook page. I updater on there like crazy so feel free to check it out.
