InstaGREAT!!

Morning darlings!! I hope you all had a great Monday---happy Tuesday!!

As you all know, I am on Instagram (msnicjames) and I love making picture collages. The first is one from this weekend. I planned a surprise b-day party for my fiance' and he had a great time! Not only was he surprised, but he was so grateful that our friends came out to celebrate him :-) The theme was "Game Night" because Darrius, and all of our friends, LOVE to get together and play Taboo. My mom and I went to Party City and found decorations that reminded us of the casino/Atlantic City. My lil sis blew up some balloons, we got out fav snacks and food from Target....everything was just wonderful! I hate that I didn't take pictures but I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off so, LOL, i didn't eve remember to snap shots of the decor. I did however get to snap a pic of my him with his money hat and dollar chain on. LOL...he's  mess! 

This next set of pics are from yesterday. I wore my Love, Cortnie clutch, my thrifted pink pants (also seen HERE), my favorite South Moon Under sandals, and my thrifted ring. I was unable to take full body/outfit shots, but I still wanted to share parts of my look with you all.

Yesterday after work, the babe and I went to see Hunger Games and then to our favorite spot, the Tomato Palace. The movie was GREAT---I now want to read the book. Despite the killing of children, I enjoyed the fashion in the movie, as well as the action/suspense. It is definitely a must see for those who haven't gone yet. As far as dinner, I opted for the Meatballs and Palenta, and some Mango wings. OMG, they were divine!!! The meatballs are served with grits...amazin'! I allowed my fiance' to share them with me, just this once ;-) 

All in all, I had a pretty GREAT Monday. This week is going to be an eventful one for me. Tomorrow my mom, sister and I are headed to see Raven Symone in Sister Act, and Thursday, lil sis, the fiance' and I are going to DC to a few museums. Friday, it's all pageant business with mom and sis. We have to find her a few dresses and other items for her upcoming appearances and pageants. WHEW! Busy and eventful to say the least. Flowers & Sandals

I hope you all have a GREAT weekend!! I am headed to Atlanta for the day on Sunday with my mom and little sister. My lil sis has an appearance to do and we are tagging along. I wish I was going to be there for a longer period of time but, I will be back in the ATL very soon. Tomorrow, I am taking my lil sis to her American Girl Fashion Show dress rehearsal and in between waiting for her, I plan to do lunch with my fiance' and visit my Grandma in Baltimore. So as you can see, my weekend is jam packed! LOL. Its funny because a friend of mine asked if I minded doing all of this for my sister. To be honest, I do not. I would rather be there and be involved than someone else. My parents have trusted me to take her career to the next level and I plan to do just that. I am blessed enough to work for and with my family, and have time to do my own thing(s) on the side. It balances out and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Now onto the outfit...while it wasn't as warm as I thought it was going to be, I still decided to wear my fav pair of sandals today! I LOVE leopard so when I saw these sandals at South Moon Under last summer (also seen, HERE), I had to have them :-) My blouse/cover up is thrifted from Village Thirft Store in Laurel (MD) and the jeans are thrifted as well. I believe they are from the Goodwill.

Fall & Fatigue...

I cannot believe how gorgeous it was today. The weather was nice and cool, and the perfect day for me to wear something I have been wanting to wear for a while now. My grandfathers Army Fatigue jacket. I know this look is a recent trend, but I have had and worn this jacket for years now. I love it, not only because it's a cool trend, but because it means so much to me. My grandfather and I were extremely close and although he is not here anymore physically, wearing his fatigues makes me feel closer to him.

I paired it with my favorite jeans (at the moment), a black cami, and my South Moon Under sandals. I want to wear these sandals as much as I can because the weather is definitely changing. Come to think of it, I'm the type who wears sandals all year, LOL.

Hey friends!

Here is yet another short and simple post. I have been really busy these past few days with getting ready for vacations, helping my mother prepare my little sister for her upcoming pageant, and making some personal plans. So with all that going on, I haven't posted in a few days. But here I am, back with an outfit that I hope you all like. Just Because

Happy Monday friends!

No long explanation for today's outfit. I just needed something cool, cute & comfy to throw on today. I only had to be out of the house during the early part of the day so this was perfect. Why a dress? Just because...lol. Its extremely soft and flowy. I could have added a belt to give it  more shape but I like it just the way it is.

There is only one photo of me today due to using my camera phone; my Nikon cord has stopped working. Bare with me :-)

Show a Lil' Leg

So today I decided to show off, lol. My legs that is ;-)

The shorts have been seen on my blog before (see outfit here), but the clogs are a first. If you follow me on Twitter, I posted them up a few weeks back. I got them for $9.00 at Target. I was ecstatic because I have been searching for a comfortable pair of clogs all season! They are extremely comfortable, and go with just about any and everything. I've see a few celebrities, and bloggers rock them with shorts so I figured I would give it a shot.

I also carried my South Moon Under sandals, which I found online HERE, with me just in case I needed them. As comfortable as the clogs are, during the summertime my feet tend to swell and make certain shoes uncomfortable. So as a necessary precaution, I carried a back up. LOL.
