Life isn't a Sprint...

Good morning and thank goodness its almost the weekend! I hope you all are having a productive and blessed week so far. As previously mentioned, mine has been quite busy but great nonetheless.

I've had a lot on my mind lately  and found myself extremely emotional and overwhelmed last night. You ever feel that sometimes everything just builds up, and you just want to burst? Well, I sure did...burst into tears. It's strange because I am a very happy person and I am extremely blessed. However, life sometimes has a way of knocking the winds out of you. At times like that, you just need to let it out (cry, scream, whatever), regroup, and pray. Life isn't a sprint...I keep reminding myself that. It's a marathon and it matters not how quick you get to your destination. It's the path in which you take to get there. I am so blessed to have the support system that I do. We all need reassurance at times...

I didn't meant to make this a long drawn out post but, I did feel the need to share that with you all. I like to be honest and open with you all. It's venting for me and who knows; maybe my story can help someone. You never know. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your day, and enjoy the outfit pics. Be blessed, stay strong, and don't forget to smile ;-)

  1. Usually when I feel overwhelmed or stressed out, I scream. Seriously. I close my door and scream (making sure no one is home, though). Also, spilling my thoughts in my journal/notebook/whatever helps, too. After I do so, it feels like a weight have been lifted off my shoulders. Continue to stay strong. :o)

Meanwhile, I lovelovelove your tunic. I can see it being styled in so many different ways.

  2. 5 really like that tunic, it looks great on you!!

I used to have panic attacks whenever I felt really overwhelmed. I used to let things build up to the point where I would totally shut down completely and then the panic attacks would come. I have learned to not hold things in so long that they get to that point, but even when I have a moment when I am feeling a little stressed I allow myself to cry, I pray and get it out. After that I feel better.....

  3. You look beautiful. That top is amazing.

And I absolutely have to remind myself of the same thing at times; because I also burst into tears when I get overwhelmed. Then I get a headache and go to sleep.

  5. I think a good cry every once in awhile is a good thing...it's funny how we as humans feel ashamed to cry and let it all out, when in all actuality that's what makes us human...plus as my Nan (grandmother) would say "the more you cry the less you piss" LOL just wanted to give you a lil' chuckle;) Love the top and the post!!

  7. Girl let it out. Cry it out! There isn't anything wrong with doing that. It is hard to keep everything to yourself. That is no fun. You look by the way. Love that top :)

  9. You know we all need to cry every now and then, maybe more than we care to admit. Glad you have a good support system though. And that shirt- I want!

  10. I seem to feel better when I write my thoughts down in a journal. That printed shirt alone should wipe away all of your worries though-its FAB!!
